Stovax Cast Iron Stoves

Every stove in this section is manufactured from cast iron. This is the traditional way of making stoves since cast iron stoves diffuse heat better than steel, moreover, the iron can be cast more thickly in areas where greater strenth is needed. It also has sculptural qualities, allowing attractive designs to be cast into the stove panels.

Airtight Construction
All stovax stove doors have airtight seals with allow airflows to be precisely controlled. This allows both the heat output and refuelling frequency to be varied and helps maximise burning efficiency.

Multifuel Burning
All Stovax stoves are designed either for multifuel, which means they burn wood, soild fuel or peat, or as woodburners only. All multifuel stoves have a riddling grate which allows ash to be riddled into a built in ash pan. Woodburners have a fixed grate and no ash pan, since wood burns best on a bed of ashes.

Enamelled Stoves
Enamel is a very thin coating of coloured glass which is fired at over 800oC onto a metal surface. To achieve its translucent and lustrous finish, each casting is especially designed for enamelling and is coated and fires twice.

Matching Enamelled Flue Pipe
For the fully coordinated installation of your Brunel or Huntingdon stove, and optimum performance, we offer high quality gloss enamel flue pipe in matching colours
